September 29, 2008

(by Ernst Scheeringa)

Today we had our first long trip. So breakfast at 6, and riding at 7.

The night before we dinned in Pontiac, and expecially for us the 'Route 66 Hall of Fame' museum opened at 22:00.

A lady told us everything that was in the museum.
Really nice people. Later we all became V.I.P's of the museum.

Today's journey started out dry. But at 8:00 we had to put on our raincoats. At 8:55 Dutch Radio called. Aad gave a interview which is broadcasted on september 30. at 'Radio Oost'.

We all had to take place in the car and truck for a few miles, because there was just Highway, and we are not allowed to drive there at 20 miles per hour. We ate something at 'The Dixi Trucker's Home'.

In got dry again, and we did not have much problems with our VeloSolexes the rest of the day.

The last 30 miles it was pooring with rain again.

We slept in Lichfield.
